The romantic 5 star Hotel Capo d’Orso, is set in the prestigious Cala Capra park, an unspoilt corner of Northern Sardinia facing the La Maddalena Archipelago and the Costa Smeralda.

At 4km from the lively town of Palau, 40km from Olbia and 20 minutes drive from Porto Cervo.

The Hotel

The Capo d'Orso 5 star hotel with its simple and elegant charm is hidden amidst olive and juniper trees in 100,000 m2 of parkland surrounded by little bays of white sand sheltered from the winds and has a fully equipped private marina. Delightful features such as breakfast served to the gentle melodies of the harp, excellent cuisine of the two restaurants, the exclusive “L’Incantu” Thalasso Wellness Centre & SPA, a 9 hole PITCH & PUTT golf course with practice area and the swimming pool on the rocks with its breathtaking view and 5 wooden solariums set right over the water at your service.

The Hotel has a total of 86 rooms including 20 recently refurbished Junior Suites as well as 20 prestigious Junior Suites Executive and Cardinal few metres from the Thalasso Centre & Spa and a beautiful President Sea View.

All the rooms, exclusive corner of privacy and relaxation are tastefully decorated by well-known architects in typical Sardinian style, have a veranda or balcony equipped with coffee table and chairs, bathroom with shower, hairdryer, air conditioning, free Wi-fi, telephone, TV, safe, minibar, bathrobes for adults and beach towels. A Courtesy tea set is available on request.

Restaurants

The excellent cuisine of the two romantic restaurants, Il Paguro and Gli Olivastri with breathtaking view over the sea, delights the guests’ palates with their delicious revisited 5 star versions of traditional Gallura specialities and freshly caught fish from the Sardinian seas. Directly over the water, the Île Flottante is an enchanting setting in which to enjoy the chef’s exclusive dishes directly over the water.

Gli Olivastri restaurant boasts a terrace with a splendid sea view set among centuries-old olive and juniper trees in a romantic atmosphere. Elegant buffet and Show Cooking for delicious dishes prepared as you watch.

Il Paguro restaurant, also on a terrace by the sea and elegant waiter service, offers À la carte dishes for lunch and dinner. Grills and catch of the day for the best sea-food specialities in a welcoming and delightful atmosphere. (Reservation required and on payment).

The Il Paguro restaurant is also open to non-guests and offers free mooring for yachts up to 60 metres for guests who come here for lunch by boat.

L'Approdo Pizzeria and Snack Bar for a more informal dinner, which speciality is the pizza direct from the wood-fired oven. (Reservation required and on payment).

Open also as snack bar for lunch, just a few metres from the beach , preparing sandwiches, tasty salads, Mediterranean dishes or just a refreshing drink during the day.

Directly over the water… Île Flottante

Enchanting setting right by the sea, open for dinner with the chef’s exclusive dishes directly over the water. Perfect at lunchtime facing the emerald sea of North Sardinia. (Reservation required and on payment).

Gluten-free cuisine

Bearing in mind the need of some of our guests to have a gluten-free diet, every day the restaurants offer delicious gluten-free dishes prepared with the best local products.

Wellness and Thalasso

Let your senses rebalance at the L’Incantu Thalasso Centre & SPA of the Hotel Capo d’Orso, set amidst the nature and just a few metres from the sea. The Wellness Centre includes two multifunction Thalasso seawater pools at different temperatures and a Jacuzzi pool, ten modern chalets for Thalasso, massage and beauty treatments, Turkish bath, relaxation area and sunbathing area with sun loungers.

The wellness centre is open 6 days per week. Access is permitted to adults only, or to those over 14 if accompanied by parents. For mothers-to-be, specific packages are available.

There is a discount of 10% on individual “à la carte” treatments if booked when booking your stay.

Sea

The beaches at Cala Capra and Cala Selvaggia, which mark the two boundaries of the hotel are perfect for giving you endless moments of relaxation and lengthy swims in the crystalline waters of the North of Sardinia. The beach at Cala Capra, sheltered from the Mistral wind is just below the Hotel, complete with sun loungers and beach towels while Cala Selvaggia is a romantic and exclusive bay reachable on foot along green paths running by the sea. For guest’s exclusive use 5 wooden solariums directly over the sea equipped with mattresses and beach towels.

Golf

Right beside the Hotel, the 9 holes Pitch & Putt golf course with driving range. PAR 3 available for professionals and golf lessons for beginners.

Activities and Excursions

The Hotel Capo D’Orso is on a perfect position to reach the most interesting and beautiful spots of the Costa Smeralda, the Archipelago of the La Maddalena, Corsica, countless coves and bays, lovely villages like Palau and San Pantaleo, the archaeological sites of Arzachena and important wineries and vineyards and the nightlife in Porto Cervo.

There are exclusive daily excursions departing directly from the Hotel’s private marina, either with the hotel’s boats or rented dinghies.
